About Us

Who We Are

AFOD Uganda was initiated by a group of young indigenous professionals who have volunteered to contribute generously to address the needs of vulnerable people. AFOD Uganda relies on local initiative, partnership and collaboration with the government of Uganda (GOU) and development partners including the private sectors for sustainable development.

AFOD Uganda is supported by World Food Programme, Infectious Disease Institute, ViiV Health care foundation UK and Positive Action and ACF as its key donors for the current programs. Currently, AFOD’s programmes are targeting Refugees and host communities in the West Nile region of; Adjumani, Koboko, Moyo/Obongi and Yumbe-BidiBidi.

AFOD’s financial year (FY) begins from October- and ends in September of every year. AFOD Uganda’s  strategic Programmes areas are aligned to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1,2,3,9 and 17 of:
